Part ID and what is it for?

Post by ron hardin »

My 52 M-37 has 2 brackets mounted on the dogleg support that is welded to the windshield frame assy. These brackets, one on each side, are bolted through the support just in front of the vertical frame of the windshield. They are a right angle and stick out about 2 1/2" with a 3/8 x 1"slot to mount something. This bracket is not shown in any of the manuals that I have and I have looked a dozens of M-37 on various websites and have not seen these on any of the trucks. I'm 98% sure they are original due to paint, etc. Any ideas?

Could it be the two brackets that the canvas top web straps go though?
