Window adjustments?

Post by Wayne64 »

I have two separate questions on the door glass.
The first is on the tilt of the glass, the manual shows loosening the guide channel screws and shifting them to get the glass even with the weather strips. My problem is shifted all the way I'm still leaning out on the back top rear corner?
On the other door my issue is that the window winds up too far. I see an angle bracket at the bottom of the glass that looks like what should be the adjustment. It is already up all the way and I still see no change? Is there supposed to be a rubber bumper or something attached to that angle? Thanks much

Have you tried to adjust your windshield and top frame?
If not recenter your door glass on the adjustments.
Then adjust your windshield and top frame as close to the door window as you can.
Next do a final adjustment to the door window.
Adjust base settings on the door window as needed to make base windshield/top frame adjustments work. (IE: move door window forward/back from center if needed to adj top and windshield to initial fit)
I'm not sure on the window stops...Seems they should have something.

Regulator

Just below the door handle are two large philips head screws, one has a large fender washer, loosen it & drop the regulator to the desired position.

I feel stupid, one issue solved, why the window went up to far since I got the truck. I got to thinking and went out and pulled the other doors inspection plate and found that the side that was high had the stop installed upside down. I'll fix that tomorrow. The cockeyed glass may take some studying with the input I got here. Thank you Folks
