GOOD MORNING ALL. I NEED TO REPLACE THE RUBBER WEATHER STRIPS AROUDN THE TWO FRONT WINDHSIELD FRAMES. DO I NEED TO PULL APART THE FRAMES?? IS IT EASIER IF I TAKE THE FRAMES OFF THE M AND PUT THEM ON A BENCH?? THANKS BOB
It is not a hard task. Just time consuming. It will be easier if you take the windows off. Remove the old moldings and clean any old hard rubber out of the frame crevice. Put a light film of grease or vaseline on the retaining lip of the new molding. Work one edge in and pop the other lip in with a small blunt tool. Make sure to start at the bottom edge so the corners line up and it sits even on the frame.Thats how I did mine.
