Dove hunting tonight! Yea Haw.....Anyone going? I'll be out there with my trusty 12 gauge O/U right after work!

Still wish we were allowed in CT. Have to wait for archery Sept 15.

You waited until opening day??? You use a 12 ga for doves!! A .410 will do the job and makes less noise (for those who can't wait until opening day).

You're kidding right? Uh, its kinda commonplace to use a 12 gauge to hunt doves? Does your state not have a dove season?

I don't know about Georgia, being new to the area and all, but we did have a dove season in Illinois. I've put many of them on the dinner table and always used my trusty 16-ga Winchester Model 97 to bag 'em. (I'd have used an 8-guage "goose gun" if that was all I had to shoot.
)
