Well gang if you read my "Aervoe" post from a few months back I said I was having our Sherwin Williams/Krylon rep from work whip up a batch of 24087 in their "Iron Guard" akrylic enamel.
I got the sample gallon Friday and sprayed some on the underside of the cargo box floor this past weekend. It is a little more green however I am satisfied with the coverage and the tint. It also dried rock hard with good adhersion. I think I am going to go with it
Hey, that looks nice! And chip resistant too? Outstanding!

Looking very sharpe, I'm guessing that you shot fast, that Sherwin Williams/Krylon looks GREAT. I am almost to the re-assembly point, need to install the gas tank, then the floor.
When I did my truck I mixed up two quart cans of rustoleom paints. the colours were I think Hunter green and Leather Brown. Mix these two together and you have an olive drab colour that is very close to the semi gloss OD that we all love. the paint goes on easliy and is hard , forming a nice tough layer. I did not use it on the topside just the frame and undersides. Terry
Sierra,
The first time I had help when I took the bed off. The JD cart was just about at its limits as some of the plastic was starting to bend I actually slid the bed on by myself when I brought it up to disassemble. I wasn't going to wait for help. I lifted the bed, had the wife place a four foot 4X4 under each end it to hold it up. I backed the trailer underneath and lifted the other end to slide it on the cart. The cart worked great both times.
The wife thought for sure I was going to hurt myself. I however enjoy the ocassional crazy "Festivus Feats of Strength"
