Operational again...

Post by Cal_Gary »

I finally got my clutch linkage back in place last night after doing the transimission install a couple of weeks ago. I took a test lap around the complex -the transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. What a relief-the beast had been deadlined for the past two months while I sought out the replacement parts and it feels good to be able to move the M around again.

Thanks K8! Now it's time to drill out the last two broken floorboard bolts and re-tap so I can install all the access covers--where's my 7/16x20NF...? :D

Thanks David! Of course after work last night I just had to take another lap, just to be sure I wasn't dreaming! Good thing too, wild fires are breaking out here in California again, and one is about 45 miles southeast of me. It can't get up to Monterey but I have friends in Soledad and it's right behind that town.
