Look where the pipes go down in the corners of the cab behind the seats.
You will find J-bolts that need to be released before the pipes will come up straight out of the cab corners.

Make sure someone didn't Mig-weld the upper bow, attaching it to the vertical pipes-some do this to ensure the bow won't detach from the top of the vertical pipe (not necessary if you have the weight of the top laying on it, as well as tying it down at the bottom).

Re: SOFT TOP REMOVAL
Sometimes rust inside the bow will cause it to stick to the vertical supports. A few raps with a rubber mallot from underneath should get it to move.......8543bob wrote:OK, I FINALLY DECIDED THAT THE RAINEY SEASON IN THE NY AREA WAS OVER; I TOOK MY SOFT TOP OFF THE M37 YESTERDAY, BUT CANT SEEM TO GET THE ROUND BAR TOP SUPPORT OFF THE VEHICLE. One of the things you need is an image hosting site such as webshots, tiny urls, the list is endless. I have just started using Adobe, not sure weather its stored on my cpu or in their storage bin, but it seems to work.
