Parting out 52 M37

Post by Brett »

I went and bought a rusty parts truck last weekend, and I'm going to start selling off some of the stuff I'm not going to need. It has a correct but rusty hard top. It appears to all be there except for the back glass. It is badly rusted, and the panels have started to seperate, and there are some rust through spots. the metal headliner looks useable, and If you wanted a hard top REALLY BAD you could probably save the whole thing. The truck has a chevy straight 6 and unknown trans. It will have 2 front fenders, radiator, transfer case, driver door is dented from hitting fender, but not too bad otherwise, both axles, 4 wheels, fire ext mount, seat frames, and lots of other stuff. If you need something or have any questions, Just ask. Just make me a reasonable offer on whatever you need. I'm located in Murfreesboro,TN Just SE of Nashville.

Thanks,
Brett

Hi Brett,
Is the passenger seat bottom decent? I would be interested in that and the fire extinguisher mount.
Thanks,
Tim

Tim, I sent you an email with some pics. The seat bottom is in fair but not new condition. two corners are a little banged up a little, but the plywood is not delaminating. It could easily have a new cover and foam installed and be good to go.

Thanks
Brett

Rich,
I sent you an email with several pics. The door is not as good as I had first thought. I think it is still fixable, but will take some work. The glass is intact, but a little cloudy near the bottom, and has some pitting near the top. The latch and regulator work, but are a little stiff, probably needs cleaning and lubed.

any chance of a good tailgate? I need one where the bottom 1/2 is in good shape... the top 1/2 of mine is in great shape, but the mount tube and rolled metal is all rotted through...

update

Post by Brett »

I sold the rear diff, and axle shafts today. I still have alot of useable parts on this truck including seats, fire ext. mount, drivers door, RUSTY Hard top, front fenders, radiator, etc. I posted some pics in the gallery under Brett Bunnell, and will try to post some more soon. I really don't need alot of this stuff, and I want to find it a good home. Make me an offer on whatever you want.

Thanks
Brett

Do you have the brackets that the tailgate uses (truck side)?

How about the transmission cover. Good condition and not messed up?
