Front fender to body welting rubber

Post by SydneyM37 »

Hope someone can help me:

Is the rubber one continuos piece from the front of the hood panel cowl right down to the bottom of the fender ?

If not what d i require, also is it attatched by scews or rivets.

I am looking at vintage power wagon catalog, pg 101, and i can see part no. cc139800, so i figure i get one of these for left and right ?

There are 2 pieces. The longer piece attaches to the motor compartment closeout panel and used rivets. The smaller piece attaches to the fender itself. The two butt together at the rear where the fender meets the closeout. We extended the front about an inch to tuck under the radiator support. Be sure to install them on a sunny day because the rubber is stiff and you'll need them to be flexible. We used small s/s screws with finishing washers (look like little rings) to get a bite on the rubber. Good thing because we had to move the rubber around to get the best fit. Dry fit before you cut.
