New album pics

Post by HingsingM37 »

Hey gang, I added some new pics of my latest progress to my album under "David Cial". I got my cab back from the blasters yesterday as well as some other sheet metal. Sure beats sanding! Plans are to have the cab on by fall so I can wire over the winter. I need to do some patching and weld in my new floor plates on the cab. Took a look if you like.:D

I added some new photos to my "David Cial" album.
I mounted my tires on the rims Saturday March 14th. New rubber on my truck after nearly five years. A marvelous thing :) It is starting to resemble an M37 again and I am on track to back her out of the garage soon under her own power :D

Looking real Good David!!
Which primer are you using, is it acid etching primer? I'm hoping for a weather break.

Thanks guys
Ed, the Power King tires are 9.00x16. Currently they are an import MFG. I picked them up last summer from Dave Horvath over on the civilian PW forum. He had a whole trailer full he picked up at auction and may still have some left.
Bruce, the flat black parts are the powerdercoated ones. All my metal I had steel shot blasted which left it with a "400 grit" finsh that holds the primer paint nicely, so I am not using any etching primer, I am just using regular metal primer, Aervoe & Krylon. :)

Bruce,
Well I'll be darned, there is a 10 pounder under my truck!!! Yes that is a replica cannon that my father and I built when I was about 7 years old. It was basically built from scrap pieces he had laying about. The barrel is fiberglass tube, the breech an old firebell with a hitch ball. The trim rings are old bearing races. The wheels are off a 1920's car which name escapes me now.I will post a good pic of it in my album this week :)
