Ralph and I have the engine about ready to put back in his truck. We worked in it Sunday and plan to do the install and start-up next weekend. He made some mods to the oil filter line placement to provide more clearance above the starter switch and power cables for easier access when doing maintenance.
We also started reassembly of the engine I will be putting into the M37 I bought from him, so the truck will be running when I bring it home. The cab and bed are now bolted on, the steering system is in and the engine and running gear are next in the list. This shot was taken before we started work on it.

Thanks guys, when we started this project several months ago it was shirt sleve weather but last Sunday when I took this pix it was 19 degrees outside and the wind was blowing 35 to 40 mph. We work in a uninsulated steel 4 bay garage with only this wood stove for heat and it was not hot
Insulated coveralls and insulated boots sort-of kept me from freezing but my hands were like ice from handling very cold tools and I can't do mechanic work wearing gloves, hope it's warmer next weekend.

One flaw in your plan Carter, if you ever visit I'll make sure it is strictly R&R for you, travelling halfway round the planet to work on my truck would just be silly, however, having a full holiday would be much more appealing I should think
