THe decal says GVW of 7200, I am sure that thing is loaded up a lot heavier than that.
I just loaded up my "new" CUCV contract maintainence truck and run it across the scale and it hit 8100 and I am sure I could load it up heavier.
The truck in the pictures sure looks a lot heavier than what I am running.

Truck....
Man, that is an unusual case. Maybe the truck was overloaded, but maybe the mechanics shoulda checked before trying to lift it ?

Truck was placed wrong on the lift, no doubt. A better way of putting it is the truck was placed on the wrong type of lift system. Whoever the lift operator was should be looking for a new job wearing a big "STUPID" sign around his neck. If the frame had not buckled, the truck would have likely went nose up. Weight distribution is critical when placing any vehicle on a lift, especially loaded trucks. This incident has stupid written all over it. A drive on type lift should have been used in this case. It's virtually impossible to use this type of lift to raise this type of truck successfully, just can't establish the correct frame/lift contact point. Think about it, all the weight of that truck is placed on a tiny area of the frame with a huge amount of weight overhanging the lift. This is exactly what I would have been expecting to happen. I would have been embarrased to have posted the picture if I were the business owner who let an employee do something this stupid. All I know is "What were they thinking."

Wow stop the presses..Charles and I agree on something.... LOL!
Just funning there Charles....but yeah I agree with him the truck was lifted wrong and was an ID10T error on the operator of the lift. I would have thought a better place to lift with that type of lift would have been to get under the front and rear axles....but I agree a drive on lift would have been a better choice. Eitherway the owner of the business is going to be shelling out some big bucks for that oops!
