Some vehicles had the fuel and high beam (only) marked w/ such decals. I guess that they found some drivers just couldnt remember what those were. I also dont know when they orignally started appling them to trucks, but they are avial from the typical decal vendors.

I think the filter housing has a small drain plug near the bottom, if its positioned in the bracket right. As to the tires the non directional arent so bad ,unless u do alot of driving in mud or snow.( the mil carried chains for this) I have operated my truck for 13 yrs on them w/o any problems in h...

I agree w mr Talbert the book is hardly an kind of guide to a restoration. Im not sure if mr. Ahl ever did any restoration work prior to, or since, that vehicle. I am surprised that it ever sold so well, but for a novice who needs any help they can find its a start(of some kind). As for paying more ...

Oddly although the holes for the bumpers were always there, the slots for the strap were no longer punched even before the b-1's came out, requiring installation of footman loops to utilize a kit. Possibly they dropped the requirment for a kit in the vehicle, but why only stop punching the slots and...

There doesnt need to be a chiltons or any other, the orignal TM's, are as comprehensive as anything can be . They even give details such as the exact type and size of all the hardware and I havent seen any civ. manual that supplies that. I remember when Mr. Ahl was jus getting started w/ his truck, ...

An additonal trans cooler would always be added, in addition to an after, the rad. cooler. Bypassing the rad cooler just reduces the cooling area and defeats the point.

Im not sure but I think alot of the gun mounts were field expediant. I dont know if there was ever a manual or standard parts list. I think they just made the paticular gun mount fit the truck the best way they could. Although if there is a manual or directions Im sure someone here has or knows of t...

I remember to before the event was at the Proving grounds, it was first held at Summit Air park in Middletown De.The trail rides were along the banks of the nearby Delaware canal. I believe a guy named Steve Roberts sponsored it there, he was married to a DuPont (I heard) and had some vintage mil. a...

You may just have a blown head gasket between the last cylinders. Take the head off and see, you may not need to rebuild the engine.

If you buy at a parts store I know with Champion you have to get them in a 10 pack, not sure if Autolite has that qty. requirment. Champions are more than Autolites, but they are plated nice an the Autolites arent, they get rusty looking.
