Re: SUCCESS-Turn signals died...

I have the original Signal Stat 600 on my truck, as well ('63 M-37B1). I have no front marker lights, turn signals, 4 ways or brake lights. Would a bad 600 unit also be causing the negative function of the brake lights or is that an additional failure of something else? I have an older 900 unit that...

Re: M37 Points & condenser

FWIW ... Ditch the points! I did the Pertronix upgrade in my M-37 and I couldn't be happier with it. Very easy to do and you don't have the hassle of the points, condenser blah blah blah. I did it on a spur of the moment decision and my test drive was a 250-mile jaunt down the outer banks of North C...

Re: Pertronix Ign Installation

Jethro -- I did the installation with the distro in the block. those six screws were buggars. Well, actually only turns out to be five as one was missing... Anyway, I figured dealing with those screws was less of a hassle than resetting the distro, timing, rehooking all the vent lines and plug wires...

Pertronix Ign Installation

Oh wise gurus: Installed the Pertronix kit yesterday. Other than the distributor cover being a PITA (is it like that for everyone or am I doing something wrong? Those 6 screws are hard to get to and I seem to use various combinations of my entire screwdriver collection with each of them), it seemed ...

Re: 1953 M-37 project starter in Maryland

Bob, There are several of us here in St. Mary's County. I've met another M-37 guy who also has a M-923 series 5-ton (I have an M-817 as well as my M-37), as well as another fellow over on Medley's Neck with an 813. We should all meet up at the Wednesday evening cruisein in Leonardtown (at Arby's) so...

Quick phone call to Vintage Powerwagons and they are on the way.

No need to send the truck to the crusher, now ...
