Re: Replacement Fuel Tank

That's pretty neat. :)
Don't worry about off-roading, the truck has plenty of clearance.
Thanks for sharing. A lot will get this one useful.

Re: Plate spring clip

Those are for the jack. It has a spud that fits the casting in the spring plate. Mine is a '52 (June) and I was wondering once about this metal cover. Could it be?
Haven't taken a newer photo of it.

Re: My 1952 Dodge M37 re-building process

The fixing of the rad's upper chamber(*). Actually it's a new chamber. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53270231900_1d703c3e66_z.jpg We will need to cut the cover that acts as support for the hood. Just for information, the cap reads 10 Lbs. It was decided by the radiator shop. I currently don't ...

Re: New Speedometer Question

I am restoring the original as the internal mechanism fails a bit (also the needle wobbles a bit too much for my taste).
Thought about procuring a “new” one but didn’t find anything at the time and I don’t see mine as a lost cause.
And I don’t think it crazy at all.

Well done.
Why don’t you open an entry in the builder’s blog section? You can show there your progress.

Re: My 1952 Dodge M37 re-building process

Update on the engine: We did a CO2 leak detection test and in a matter of seconds the reactive changed color :( No need to also mention that it started making bubbles but, well,...the problem is there. For sure we have pressure transmitted to the cooling system. This means A) the head gasket is bad;...

Haven't see it in the shop to be honest. I am returning when the radiator is arriving to test again and see.

Re: My 1952 Dodge M37 re-building process

Never thought in a bad way about your comment. No worries. :) We just ran it in very short time spans to check for the starter, do a simple compression test, check for the water pump, etc. Yeah, the idea is, once the "new radiator" is installed, to verify properly for the water pressure (p...

Re: My 1952 Dodge M37 re-building process

Never said it was right, John. I am putting all the info for you guys to see. Indeed it's wrong....., the engine sounds great tho. :P I cannot re-test until getting the radiator back. And this is the engine AFTER rebuilding it. We're losing it. NOTE: we just ran the engine three times, no more than ...

Re: Passenger side mirror, mounting pics needed.

No thread inserts. We spent a couple of minutes there looking, checking, analyzing LOL!, trying to "feel" the steel and nothing. And this side of the truck was not replaced. :?
Anyways, per Andy's photo we measured and will align next for drilling.
