Re: Starting issues

Sorry for the late response Mike. You've got a lot to look into-stuck valves can be common due to inactivity; dirt in the carb can also keep the engine from starting. I've not used Seafoam in my M37 but swear by it in cleaning out the carb in my snow blower, and mower. Good luck-let us know what you...

Re: My 1962 Project 😵‍💫

Door latch spring issues are common on these trucks. Mine too await replacement whenever I get around to it.
Thanks for the update!

Vintage Power Wagons in Iowa has a great deal of M43 expertise. You might go to their website and post your questions. https://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/

Re: Partial 12v Conversion

With respects, amperage is the concern with damaging wiring, not voltage. That's why you can test your wiring circuits with a charger set to 2 amps versus 10 amps or more. Low amps won't fry the harness. I verified that with Painless Performance when I installed my harness.

Re: Partial 12v Conversion

I run a Painless Performance harness on mine so I'm no expert of the military setup other than to say the wiring doesn't care if you're 12V or 24V. Your circuit breakers, bulbs and gauges will need attention however. Perhaps some Forum members will have additional insights.

Hi Chuck (Travlr), I've never driven mine out of Utah so I have no idea; however you raised a valid question/concern.

Re: Colorado Prohibits Military Vehicles on Hwy

Great job Dana! Get a Utah "Vintage Vehicle" tag on it for $10 yes TEN DOLLARS per YEAR! I've run one since 2012-price has never gone up (fingers crossed).
Congratulations-there's more than one way to get around red tape!

Busy bee! Many of us have been there, done that. Don't let the project overwhelm you-pick a sub-project and focus on that, one sub-project at a time. Stop when you get tired or frustrated. My motto on mine was (and still is) "mechanicals over cosmetics". Getting the truck moving and stoppi...

Search the word "boiling" on the home page. Guys used boiling water to soften up draft pads. That might work for your grommets too.

Welcome Steve-glad to have you with us!
If your trailer has the data plate it should include the date of manufacture. I don't have a trailer but the VIN might be stamped on the frame somewhere.

Dana,
There are no such restrictions in Utah-the border is pretty close to you if you need another option. Good luck!
