Hi all,
I need to know if reinstalling a piston and connecting rod into the M37 engine requires new bolts and nuts to be used in the bearing cap.
Thanks in advance.

Hood rod bracket
Hi everyone,
I need to fabricate the little metal bracket that goes on the passenger side windshield frame for the rod that holds the hood open, does anybody have a picture of this I could use as a guide?
Thanks
Bob R

Dan,
I'm saddened to hear about your illness, God bless you and yours, a close friend of mine recovered from the same thing. He has been in remission for a very long time.

Re: What is a restored M37 worth?
I was just on facebook and there was a lot of "discussion" about restoring to original and saving these trucks they way they were. I am in the car business and Sometimes a car needs to be customized to be worth something. I don't know what a M37 with no special history behind it is worth....

Re: the deadly art of tire repair
Most of the accidents involve the 3 piece "split rim" wheels, not the 2 piece "split ring" wheels that are on the M37's, I'm not saying that nothing can happen but they are far safer in my opinion. The "split rim" type wheels have to have the 2 rim pieces aligned perfec...

Re: Piston rings on low compression engine
Thank you Charles. What about the stuck ring being a different style than the bottom ring? I checked a NOS set of rings and the two bottom rings should be the same.

Piston rings on low compression engine
Charles, I shouldn't have inserted my posts into an existing thread and clutter it up so I'll repeat it here. BTW I wish you and all the G members and their loved ones a Merry Christmas and a great new year. I pulled the #1 piston out of the M37 earlier and looked at the rings, the 3rd ring from the...

Re: Low compression
GOOD MORNING, My M developed a knock after two years of great performance, still cant figure out why. I pulled the eng/trans without pulling the fenders, was not bad at all. #6 connecting rod bearing was the culprit. When I pulled the piston I found a broken ring, so I pulled all the pistons, the re...
