Brake & Fuel Lines
Is it possible or practical to replace M37 brake and fuel lines without removing the cab or bed? It appears to be a pretty cramped work area with several lines clamped together under the driver’s side of the cab. Thanks for suggestions or helpful hints.

Re: TIMING POINTER FELL OFF
I did wonder about TDC. I use one of those round English.police whistles attached to a short length of rubber hose which is fixed to a screw in fitting on #1 cylinder. Spin the crank by hand and the whistling stops at TDC. Before the pointer fell off it was pretty accurate at confirming TDC. Thanks ...

TIMING POINTER FELL OFF
After removing the radiator to replace the water pump, hoses, thermostat, etc., I noticed that the timing pointer appeared to be canted to one side rather than level. Apparently, the spot welds to the timing gear cover were marginal and failed due to corrosion, and the pointer came loose when I tou...

Body Bolt Question
I'm re-assembling an M37B1 and need to know if there's a source for bolts for attaching the front/rear fenders, splash shields, etc., instead of trying to salvage the corroded take off bolts. Or, do y'all just use common hardware store bolts? Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Oil Pan Gasket Question
I suppose it could be, but the stock number is the same one listed in all of the MV application charts and the box lists the gasket set for 1950's-1960's Dodge/Chrysler 218-230 cu.in. engines.
Thanks,
Joe

Oil Pan Gasket Question
I purchased a Fel-Pro OS-4250C oil pan gasket for my '63 M37B1. In addition to the cork/fiber gasket parts, there are two small rubber seals I have not seen before in a Victor oil pan gasket used on another truck. The rubber seals are 1 1/16 inch long and approx. 1/16" in diameter - solid rubb...

Re: Hot Transfer Case
Charles: Thanks for your response. I may not have been clear in my post - the T-case was too hot to touch for more than a second or two. I certainly could not hold my hand against it. I can't find any Royal Purple 40 wt. synthetic oil in my area - is there an acceptable substitute from another manu...

Re: Hot Transfer Case
Cuz: Yes, I checked fluid in both units. T-case was a little low so I topped it off. Compared to the transmission, the T-case was almost too hot to touch. Good point about the speedometer - I'll need to check that. However, it will probably be off somewhat anyway since I'm running 11:00-16 Michelen...

Hot Transfer Case
I just re-acquired a 1963 M37B1 in good condition (sold it about 10 years ago and re-purchased). After driving it on the highwyay @40-45 mph, the transfer case felt really hot, but the transmission was only warm to the touch. Also, there's an annoying hi-pitched whine in 4th gear. Would this be com...
