Josh, Good try, I'm behind you but...
B(1) States BODY AND FRAME not originating from AND not resembling any previous mfg. vehicle.
Changing the frame wont do it, if it still looks like an M37.
I think the best option is to force recognition of our right to use option F.

Re: Just so crazy it might work: Bypassing the Communist WI
Cuz, your last post turned a light on for me. Use the legislature to our advantage. One reason why they are going after old MVs and not all old cars is there are a lot more antique cars out there, and they would rase a stink if the law was applied to them, and what we need is more stink! I think we ...

Re: Update On Iowa DOT & My Buddy's M35A2C
Tanner. I bought my truck in 07 and payed full price for real truck plates not collector plates. I bought one of the best fwd trucks ever built, why would I want to park it when the snow blows! I didn't want to be told when and how to use my truck. My truck is registered as a 3/4 ton Dodge truck jus...

Re: Update On Iowa DOT & My Buddy's M35A2C
Today I spent researching my states stupid military vehicle law, then I wrote an e-mail to my state rep. and state senator, I've decided to post it here first for input before sending it. Senator Grothman, sir Government has always repurposed or sold as surplus all manor of equipment and supplies in...

Re: Update On Iowa DOT & My Buddy's M35A2C
O.K. its time to see the big picture here. This same thing is going on in Wisconsin and several other states, and all at the same time! This can only be as a result of 2 things. 1 - federal mandate, but that should result in the same thing happening in all 57 states ( I know there's 57 because the m...

Re: Trying to adapt 318 again
Cuz, Josh, I do understand the changes in registration, and find myself in a black hole, perhaps I should reregister the truck to see if I can do it, before I spend any more on it, even then I'm only good until a smart cop catches on. Perhaps I should drag it to Madison and burn it on the steps of t...

Re: Trying to adapt 318 again
Josh, When I first registered my truck I went right to truck plates, I knew she wasn't going to be a "for looking at" kinda girl. but the registration lapsed after she died, all I can hope is no one is paying to much attention when I reregister my 54 dodge. I figured I'd get everything to ...

Re: Trying to adapt 318 again
I think I got the position correct, oil pan is real close to the dif. Had to remove 1/2" ish of top of D.S. frame, no way to go lower. I've spent the afternoon looking on line for radiators, what a waste. virtually all sites I went to you had to start with a search for your vehicle, only 1 site...

Trying to adapt 318 again
I never touched a wrench in 2011, but Im determined to get my truck running in 2012. I'm going to revisit this topic many times this year as I get back up to speed. to recap, my truck had a 265 engine in it when I bought it, shortly after I got it running, the crank shaft broke. I bought a 1990 Dodg...

Well.... In the movie When Harry met Sally, when the best friends move in together she makes him get rid of his wagon wheel coffee table. On the other hand, on the set of Top Gear BBC, they have a V12 engine block with a glass top as a coffee table. The big thing these days is "man caves" ...

Re: Will This Engine Work in an M37?
I wish someone had pointed me toward this web sight when my engine went to hell, I couldn't find a thing about it. One warning about industrial engines - in some applications such as forklifts, the engine turns backwards or CCW, wouldn't that be a bitch to go through all the work of the refit just t...

On the subject of rust proofing, I haven't paid much attention to it but the only rust proofing I've seen is sprayed on tar.
What do you guys think of spray on bed liner used as under coating? It would be tuff as hell.
