Re: Looking for Brake Parts
I have nearly new shoes (4) and cylinders (2). You can have them for shipping. I am replacing my fronts with disc brakes.

Re: Radio mounting in the M37
https://www.nf6x.net/1999/01/tm-11-2300-352-15-5-installation-of-radio-sets-anvrc-46-anvrc-53-or-angrc-125-in-truck-cargo-34-ton-m37/ Looks like the https://www.nf6x.net/ site is a really good resource. It also appears that the proper method was in the truck bed for these sets. I found a manpack pac...

Radio mounting in the M37
I have an AN/PRC-9 Radio (Korean war era set) and looking for photographs of where these might be mounted. I see scarce references to radios being mounted in the back/bed area, but I would prefer cab mounted. Doing a variety of image searches have not turned up anything really, does anyone have some...

For sale M37 PTO gearbox and new style M101 brake hand levers
The M37 PTO gearbox was removed as I do not anticipate ever installing a winch, so if someone can make use of it, then its available. Make a reasonable offer. Im told somewhere north of $500 is fair this this item, but I can't find references for this really. I assume shipping will be expensive as w...

Re: WTB - M101 Trailer old style brake lever assemblies
I was able to get the M101 older style brakes installed. I had to get the brackets and rods fabricated from http://meridenmachineshop.com/ in Meriden, KS - they state they will keep the design if anyone needs it. The brake handles came from https://powderriverordnance.com/ It turned out very nice, I...

12v vs 24v systems
I think I killed my engine, I have a mechanic coming by to evaluate it but it makes a loud clunking sound when running. It moves, but until someone looks at it I am not inclined to move it much in case it damages it further. As I was waiting to get a diagnosis on the engine, I was looking at replace...

WTB - M101 Trailer old style brake lever assemblies
I am in Topeka, KS, but these are small enough to ship easily. I can find the handle itself from MV parts vendors, but not the entire assembly. Apparently they come in left hand and right hand assemblies. The brake cables come to the center front of the trailer and have the small lever with pin hole...

Re: Wheel hub assembly
I did not drive the races out since I didn't have the press to do this, and they appear to be unblemished. If I find a bad bearing/race set in other wheels Ill probably give that hub to a shop with a press. I did have to drive the inner bearing and oil seal out with pvc and rubber mallet, which took...

Wheel hub assembly
I have an M37 and M101, this is the M101 but the wheel hub appears to be exactly the same as the M37 so this should apply to both. I started with the M101 trailer as I wanted to learn wheel hub maintenance but still be able to use the truck. Once I know how to do this correctly, I can move on to the...

Re: How to evaluate brake job
your truck does not pull strongly to one side or the other. Suggest you find a safe place and brake hard to see what will happen when you have to stop abruptly. One way to see which wheel may not be braking as well is to brake on a loose surface, and see if all four tires do the same. And when blee...

How to evaluate brake job
I recently got an M37. The brakes were squishy and I had to pump them so I read to bleed the brakes. I suspect what followed will reoccur with other systems (problems leading to other problems). The bleeders were all frozen and some threads were rounded, so I decided to remove the cylinder to get fo...

Re: Brake Lines
Brake lines on my M37 look in decent shape, but the coil surrounding it (the armor) is corroding. Its 15ish years old at youngest, so its not shocking. Would coating these brake lines in grease, then putting the entire line in a hose, I’m imagining a tough garden hose but smaller diameter, be useful...

Re: Steering help
I recently got an M37 In going through it, I discovered some "clips" that have come apart on the steering components. They are listed as item "M" (cover) on this diagram https://shop.midwestmilitary.com/product/m37-tie-rod-drag-link-exploded-view/. All four places that the ends c...
