Re: Bridge plaque paint
Did a Google search and this is what I found: “Yellow Drab #316 WWII Yellow Drab #316 is now available in spray cans. This shade of yellow was reengineered from an original can of paint from WWII and an original copy of the US Army Spec. 3-1 paint chip manual dated April 1943. Replicating any shade ...

Re: 1963 M37B1 and introduction
I also started working on the wheels. Between this truck, the parts truck and the Power Wagon I have 12 good wheels. 5 of them are stamped 1963 and are in good shape. Perfect. Tires were dismounted yesterday and later this week I'm going to the sandblasting shop. Next, I am rebuilding the drive shaf...

The transfer case is ready for paint. It looks a thousand times better when compared to what I originally found.

As promised, a few pictures of the progress. It's been so long since I resized and uploaded pictures, that I forgot how to do it. But I figured it out. The engine is installed.

Re: 1963 M37B1 and introduction
Hello everyone! After several months dealing with health issues at the local VA clinic, I am feeling strong enough and sufficiently motivated to continue this project. I started working on the B1 again 2 weeks ago and have made a little progress. Engine is back together and mounted. Yesterday I work...

Looking at that photo, I can tell you there is rust all along that seam. I would cut out much more than that. Get as much of the loose rust off or out that you can. Buy some Phosphor Prep and Etch from Home Depot and paint it on keeping it wet for a number of hours. Don’t let it get on your shop fl...

I believe first you have "neutralize" rust, then prevent it from coming back. POR and the like have to be properly applied or rust will continue under ir. I think the best site for information and products is KBS, at: https://www.kbs-coatings.com Once rust is neutralized, then it can be c...

Re: New member - 1952 M37
I just read all 6 pages of this thread. What a nice looking truck! Really enjoyed looking at all the pictures and the progress made. Congratulations! In one of the show pictures (post dated 8/14/2019) I believe I saw a vehicle that looked like a Range Rover Classic military ambulance. Very cool too....
