It is a full floating axle. Your photo shows the axle seal, and as stated above once removed will reveal the bearing retainer nuts.

Re: Ins & Outs of Transfer Case Rebuilds
Do not use the bushing approach, there will not be enough lubrication to make it last. The rollers allow lubricant to flow.

Re: Centered WC Axle Swap Q's
Borrow or buy the Power Wagon Interchange manual by John Zentmeyer. It lists dimensions and interchanges for axles, differential, transmissions and transfer cases for the PW and M37. The later WC axles have a tag welded on them that says to use 1 gasket. These housings have a spacer ring welded to t...

Re: 360 LA to NV 4500. What Clutch?
anyone? anyone? Do you mean the clutch housing(bellhousing) or just the clutch assembly? The clutch assembly is a standard Dodge truck clutch, the bellhousing will have to come from a late model Dodge truck with the NV4500 trans. I bought my clutch housing from Chrysler, I think it was about $230 n...

Re: 440
Starter to steering gear clearance, oil filter to front crossmember, and cooling will be the issues, otherwise it will fit. Tim Peterson had a 440 in his truck.

Good job, very creative providing a carrying handle for UPS, although those a very heavy items even with a handle.

I offered my engine on the Power Wagon Forum for free with no takers. Took the engine apart and sold the parts separately.

Re: Shotgun Question!
I believe 18" is the minimum legal barrel length for a shotgun, 16" for a rifle, anything shorter requires ATF approval and a tax stamp. Local laws would also apply.

Re: Hubs
M37 hubs can be adapted to the Dana axle. Inner bearing is the same, outer bearing has to be replaced with a larger bearing. Spacing of the bearings has to be considered also. The M37 hub has 6 studs to bolt the axle shaft to and the Dana has 8, this can be changed by plugging the old hole pattern a...

I read that the NP420 was synchronized in 3rd and 4th gears. Does that mean you only have to double clutch in 1st and 2nd gear?
