Re: Kids love military trucks!
Our local A&W has a vintage car show every Thursday. Every few weeks I take my M37 down there. Most vehicles have the "No Touch" signs. I encourage people, especially kids, to hop in. They love it.

Re: speedo cable puking oil at speedometer
Hi guys. Turns out that the vent had been replaced with a plug. My best buddy RMS had a spare vent so I changed that out. Hopefully that does the trick.

Re: My new/old m37 is just about there
Point, Great results for your efforts. In a few short months, you have done more than some of us have in many years. Now that you're mobile, you can get with the rest of the Western Command guys when they do road trips and get togethers to show off your work and make some connections. All you need ...

Re: Governor adjustment
It looks like the gov was already adjusted to the max speed. I will pull it apart to see if something isn't quite right. I am at my whits end as this thing just wont go over 35. Giving it more throttle just bogs it.
And thanks guys for all the info

Re: speedo cable puking oil at speedometer
Thanks guys. I don't believe I have the O ring seal. I am going to have to pop out the vent and see what it is. They sure hid it nicely' I didn't want to pull it till I was sure that it wasn't something else.

speedo cable puking oil at speedometer
Now that's a new one to me. Went for a drive today and after I got home, I saw oil on the floor. It was coming out of the speedo cable. I imagine there is a vent problem. I found the breather in the manual diagram and when I feel around for it, All I feel is a small four sided screw or plug of some ...

Re: Governor adjustment
But back to the question. Shouldn't the inner screw turn independently of the nut?

Governor adjustment
Hi guys. I am still in the long haul of getting my m37 project on the road. I want to try adjusting my governor as this truck just will not go more than 35 mph. I have tried pretty much everything and a few mechanic friends are stumped. So, the subject at hand I have the EME manual and according to ...

Re: pulling the distributer
I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what was wrong with my m37. Thanks to RSM for lending me a spare distributer. As it turned out, the shaft bushing was worn. The thing would not run under load or do over 30 mph. Close to being fixed now.

Re: spurtting at higher speeds
I just got my m37 project plated so I could drive it on the road. Idles great, runs as smooth as silk, then dies at 30 mph. Took the carb apart(it had sat for over a decade). It was full of crud. The pump plunger is seized, the plunger leather is dried right out, the pump intake ball was stuck in the...
