Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
Was very surprised you didn't mention the last gauge only having a 1/4 tank of fuel. Look this a public forum, I get it, peoples opinions are encouraged. If your level of experience is true, I would just advise before doing as so many keyboard warriors fail to do, think about what you are typing. Tr...

Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
Before you go and diagnose all my problems, think about what the truck was doing. A short burst to 92 MPH with 4.56 gears will in turn the oil pump, water pump, and alternator higher then the norm. Burst pressure on Mobile1 filter is 600psi, so don't think that will be an issue. My roadrace cars reg...

Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
Drove this Hot Rod 3.5 hrs to Ocean City Md. car show. As you can see by the speedometer "which is pretty accurate", she cruised pretty good down and back without a hitch. Truck amazes me how popular it is when it shows up somewhere https://photos.smugmug.com/Cars/PW/i-Qb2F84c/0/3beb9892/L...

New Transmission
Have an NOS transmission I got with my M37, that I did a v8/automatic swap on. Have no need for it $500, will not ship. I am in northern Maryland.

Couldn't figure out how to post a video on here, so click the link, and then click on the video to watch a very entertaining M37 doing a smoky burnout video. Still makes me laugh, 3 tons of fun

Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
With the center dump truck manifolds, their is not a terrible amount of wiggle room as to where the engine sets side to side. I always look at it as, its easier to move the PTO shaft with pillow blocks etc., then put the engine in the wrong place. My exhaust ended up coming out of the manifold at a ...

Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
Over the weekend I probably put several hundred miles on this thing. All I can say is, it performed flawlessly, cruised 70 MPH with no issues, handles, and stops nice. Of all the stuff I own, I do love driving this thing the most. https://photos.smugmug.com/Cars/PW/i-S3RzfZL/0/XL/20160530_121551-XL....

Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
Hell, mine is a no frills version of mine. LOL The crossover steering got a bit tight at the crossmember if I remember right, because the F150 box was the route I was going to go as well.

Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
Drives me crazy when Stacy David calls that a Power Wagon. Its a 1939 International cab with a Wc Power wagon front clip. If you look closely you can see how poorly the front sheetmetal fits. Doors, cab lines and back window are dead giveaways. At first I thought it was a Chevy G503 which looks like...

Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
Have to watch, some of the late 383/400 cranks weren't drilled for a 4 speed either. Funny the 383 and the 400 used the same crank, the later 400 heavy truck cranks were actually 383 pieces. You can always tell by the balancer, Wide balancer: cast crank/externally balanced. Narrow balancer: steel cr...

Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
I'm running a mini filter also, way roomier, and as long as you change the filter regularly, it will make no difference.

Re: 383 Mopar powered M37
I did not change the caster on the front diff at all. It cruises 70 mph with the 37" tires with no wandering at all. The tires haven't ever been balanced, and it still cruises nice.
