Location might help. Everyone here has parts in their sheds and garages.

Re: M37 ID Data Plate Designs
I applaud your skill set but you do know you can get those NOS blank plates or repros from a plethora of vendors for around $10 ?

Re: throttle return spring
Disregard, I see you got a reply and pics from steel soldiers. Looking closer, I see the flange hole on my cab. Guess I'll hook it in there.

Re: throttle return spring
Mine is hooked through the cotter pin eye on the castle nut on the right rear engine to frame mount. I don't know if it's "correct" but the alignment and distance are perfect. I can't find any pics of that end of the spring.

Wiring ? for aux "clamshell" map/trouble light
Can anyone who may have rewired or inspected the single center prong clamshell map light connector (2 wires) tell me how to wire it? What is hot and what is ground?

Go get one of those cheap auto stethoscopes and simply touch each component. When you hit the right one you will know it!

Re: Vacuum tubing behind dash
Probably rubber. Mine is missing as my truck is under construction The inside of that hollow bolt has about a 1" smooth nipple that protrudes into the cab (easy to slide a tube and clamp over) If it were any kind of metal tube I would think it would be threaded or flared.

Re: Oil Bath Air Cleaner Gasket
Yes. The oil bath seals at the top of the sleeve (a simple smaller doughnut sits in the groove). Oil bath does not touch the bottom where the 4 holes are that attach the sleeve to the elbow. That's what I thought he meant.

Spare mounting plate vs. channel ?
Has anyone nailed down the year the trucks started coming with the channel vs. the plate to go under the spinner on the spare?

Re: Oil Bath Air Cleaner Gasket
FelPro kit 3060 the black cork/rubber sheet. It's called cork rubber but it's more like rubber/cellulose. I just did mine. If you don't have the hole punch a 9mm case works like a champ for the 4 bolt holes.
