U are correct .It makes sense that NOS parts are not a good idea with todays fuels ,my truck ran fine when I got it going ,and after a new tank of fresh fuel it doesn't run at all.i talked to someone at VPW and learned about some additives to add to the fuel to help prevent the problem .one was seaf...

well it is worse.i pluged the wiper vacuum lines.checked the fuel pump,have plenty at the carb,but now it wont even try and start,i am going to retrace my old or should I say new parts I put in and see if I have spark,tried starting fluid in desperation and that doesn't make a difference,wondering i...

Like I said I am not a mecahanic.but u mention maybe a vacuum leak ,I know the wipers are run by vacuum and I took off the lines and I get a lot of air from the wipers ,would that have anything to do with hard starting being it is a vacuum leak.

just installed my rebuilt Pto and notices a slight whine at around 30 mph,I think it had the same whine before the install but maybe not as much,I chimmed it with 2 30 thousenths gaskets to give it the proper gear lash ,my question is even with proper clearance would it whine a little? will it hurt ...

I have a few teeth on my ring gear that are wearing from clashing once in a while.dont want to change it ,but if so can I get it out without pulling the motor.if so how hard is it.any help would be appreciated thanks jack

thanks everyone for the input.she is done as far as I want to take her for now, so other than turning her into a winch truck ,I will take out the starter and have it rebuilt.
