Where are you located? I've got an extra body with interior panels.
Re: For Sale
I may be interested in a gas tank. Let me know what you want for one.

Re: M43 Inner Door
I've got no use for anything on the door. Make an offer/plus shipping cost and it'll be yours.
Of course that also depends upon whether the rollers actually come off in a wholesome manner....
The rest of the cab is going to get parted out for an M43 and an M56 that I'm working on.

Re: I need a rear spring U-bolt-anybody have one?
Vintage Power Wagon has them. AB Lynn may still have them.
Midwest Military shows them on their web site.
Or you can have some made at a spring shop. Just take an old one with you...

If the truck were anywhere near Atlanta, I'd be on my way to pick up the truck.

Re: M43 Inner Door
Sorry for the delay. I do have a door on my spare ambulance body. It is missing most of the parts on the door, but the door itself looks in good shape. I can email a pic if you are interested.

check air horn
You may want to check the air horn between the air filter and the carb. I've got one that is missing the angled tube and the bent tube that go into the airstream inside the air horn. IE look inside the tube where the lines connect to the air horn.
I burnt up a couple coils with that one.

carb leak
There should be fuel in the bowl after it has been sitting for a couple days. It could be dripping into the carb throat/manifold. You might also look at the gasket between the governor and the intake manifold. You might see some fuel weeping out there. Especially if the carb isn't tightened down ver...

Is the carb bowl empty? Open the drain plug in the carb bowl to find out.

'right' reamers
Thanks Charles. I finally bothered to open the engine maintenance book to actually 'read' the specs on the reamer tools. Now I just need to find some high-quality, yet resonably priced hand reamers... So far Goodson seems to have some US Made HSS reamers for $42.99. Hey, DAP. This engine that I'm wo...
