My m-37 off reading in Moab

I am at Moab Utah this week with my 1953 m-37 for the second year. This truck always amazes me with it’s ability to go off roading places that most people think only Jeep Rubicons can go. I met my nephew and his family here again this year with their two vintage flat fender Jeeps, one a 1949 and the other a 1951 m-38. So far this week we have completed three trails, Rainbow Terrace, Seven Mile Rim and Fins N Things. My m-37 had people with Jeep Rubicon’s and side by sides waiting to see if this old military truck could maneuver the obstacles and pull the very steep hills. They were never disappointed and neither was I. If you want to see what these trails look like google Moab and the name of the trail. You will be amazed to see the level of difficulty m-37’s reach and exceed easily.

Is your truck stock, or have you changed and/or modified the suspension at all?

Yes, please shoot some video!! That does sound like a good time.

The M37's secret is extreme articulation from long, very flexible springs and a 112" wheelbase.

A standard Hi-Lift jack is practically useless, as all the way up and the tire is still on the ground.

And don't waste your $ on lockers.

Guys yes my m-37 truck is totally stock. It runs great. We did take some pictures and videos and when I get home I will upload them to this thread. Other people with their Rubicon’s and side by sides were amazed at how well this 1953 and my nephews 49 and 51 Jeep’s could do. I recommend that we all take our trucks out more to show the off roading group how advanced the military was in its technology.

Well, that’s one of the things I’m planning to do after the rebuild, hence why I asked.
I’m sure with good maintenance and taking good care these little green trucks can embarrass lots of 21th century 4WD’s.

I have some great pictures of my 51 M37 in Canyon Lands just South of Moab. I need to figure out how to post pictures here. I thought I had it a couple of years ago, but they never actually came up on a post, then I gave up. The thing that amazed me beyond how well it did, was it was like riding on a cloud compared to my 58 Navy Jeep. I went there more for a photo shoot, wanting to get some cool pictures of my truck. Then I got carried away with how well it did!!

Ok, seems this is recurrent problem in this forum, maybe there is no guide or tutorial available.
It's plain simple, same as you'd attach documents to an email or when you need to send your tax declaration to the authorities.
After you've written your text go to the "Attachments" tab:



Click in Add files, a pop-up window will open. Look for the folder where the pictures you want to add are located. Select them and click Open (my computer is in Spanish):



Then the picture will appear as it is ready to be placed. You can add a comment to it. Each picture has this possibility when attaching.
If you don't want o upload the picture just deleted it from the selection. Once you're donde click in Place inline.



After you're ok to what you've written and attached, SUBMIT the post.
This method is for attaching pictures. You can also embed web links for pictures stored in websites (they way I am doing it now), but it's a bit more complicated if you're not tech savvy.

Remember that in order for that method to work, your pictures must be UNDER 256KB in size. Since most digital cameras far exceed this size, you will need to resize your pictures first. (I suggest doing this to a copy of the photo, if you want to keep the full-resolution picture for your own use.)
