Removal of front propeller shaft

Hi Guys,
Is there any reason why I can't run the truck without the front drive shaft? I don't believe there is but just in case I thought I'd go to the experts...

Well…your 4wd won’t work!

I had a Silverado with a bent front driveshaft. I used to take it off in the spring and put it on in the winter.

Not really an answer but I’m curious too.

It will probably drive and steer slightly smoother. It won't hurt a thing.
