Bosch 24v Coil

When I got my m37 it had a power wagon distributor running off one battery to get 12 volts. I'm keeping the non military distributor but want to have full 24v. I found a 24v Bosch external ignition coil on eBay and will probably buy it. Has anyone else used these, how do they hold up. I saw one at a show in NH but the owner wasn't around.
