Operation Restoration (2009-20??)

Well its been a year and all I managed to get done was cleaning the hardware. Quick questions for you guys that have done frame off restorations on these trucks. Anyone notice a twist in their frames? Laid mine on the concrete and when I step on the right rear corner the left front corner pops up. Its not extreme but I know how little things can amplify when parts go together and at the end of the day I don't want to put this truck together and see a twist. The truck didn't look as though it had a twist in it before dismantling it but hard to tell since the truck was not a solid color. The bed floor didn't look as though it was ever overloaded or abused and the bracing is all straight. Not sure it the frames were manufactured with a slight twist to compensate for loading weights.

Been there. My old frame had been abused (cracked and welded, then torch cut to install an MU2 winch... ), so I did the frame plumb bob measurements per the manual (TB 9-2300-247-40, Tactical Wheeled Vehicles: Repair of Frames)

Not good. I ended up buying a replacement frame.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that manual existed. I just downloaded it and will take a look and see where I'm at with my frame.
