I like this, it is period correct for a Dodge (used '52-'54). It would sit a little further forward to match the curve of the hood, had to put it back so it would not slide off. Haven't seen one on any others, makes a handy handle for lifting the hood- looks much better than the staple shaped one you see.
So what do you think? Just so you purists don't get mad, I used a pretty pitted up ornament to make OD, no damage to a nice one.
Let me know!

well, since you asked...

Cool piece; not sure if it really adds anything to the truck though. Wondering if a different color might help? Engine silver? I don't know, i can't even pick out my own clothes.

If you mount it other way around you can use the horns as recovery points... :)

GIs did stuff like that a lot during the 60 especially in country places like Vietnam. If they could get away with something they would. So put it on the truck, mark it with a unit markings from in country like 101AB or 1INF and tell the haters that it came that way from south east Asia. :)

I like it, painted to match. It gives an identification of a dodge

I prefer the blank hood nose, not even caring for the hood handle seen on a number of M37s (but that's just my preference).
