this is my stock fuel tank, truck was built in '52, don't know if it was replaced or not. Be careful with sparks around a fuel tank. Many years ago, my brother in law thought he had aired out a gas tank, and went to weld something, and spent 7 months in a burn unit, and has lung problems this day.

That looks like the stock tank to me Hal.
I sent mine years ago to be boiled out and inner-coated by a radiator shop-my fear of gas fumes is a very real thing!

That pic in the first post doesn't look like the cover plate on a stock M37 fuel tank.
