Well it hasn't changed too much since we were delayed by fire smoke and covid, but soon it will. I am back at my real job so we can get it going and my friend's shop has agreed to do the work. This is a 52' M42 actually, not a 37 or 43! I found the data plate in the glovebox and I will rivet it back on. We are almost done with the disk brakes, just waiting on some stuff from M Series Rebuild. But that isn't such a rush since we are swapping in a 318 and an electronic e brake. I think I'm going to sell the hard top at some point if anyone is interested. The truck is in Petaluma, CA. I think it would fit on a 4x8 pallet. I would keep it for the hell of it and restore it but I don't have anywhere to keep it so the canvas top is it I guess.

Sure would be nice if the mod could increase the size limit on images.

So many details are lost.

This whole site needs to be relocated, it's totally out of date. It should be at squarespace or something. We should get together and see if we can have a membership or something, I would post a lot more stuff if I could, at this point it doesn't fit and our photo album isn't even part of this site. There are no other online resources to share anything about these trucks, so we should make all of this better.

Doing a chassis swap using a '78 Chevy 3/4 ton Camper Special. I'll be able to drive at highway speeds, have 37 gallons of gas, and have disc brakes. This is the cab with the Chevy floor in it. I'll be taking it in to the welding shop to get a professional to finish it up so I'm sure it's solid.

What did you do with what you took out? I have a pretty nice cab with a rusted thru floor.

I cut it up pretty badly. I wasn't expecting anyone to be interested. I might have the bolt-in plates that come out. Otherwise it's in pieces.

I need the areas just in front of the seats that lie flat.

Pretty sure those are just flat steel and could be welded or even bolted in using flat sheet stock.

Hello All,
New owner here with a 53 M37 CDN. Located in Newfoundland, Canada and just starting to learn about these machines. Truck was restored about 12 years ago and has not been driven/used since 2013. It starts/runs and stops just fine. My plan over the winter is to become familiar and go through all the fluids, tune up, brakes, etc to be ready for spring.

When I picked it up..
