Kaegi,
I have one in N. Calif.

If you know anyone headed down to the MVCC meet in Camp Plymouth this weekend I could drag it up there.

I've got one you can have free in Phoenix. You could have it complete for $200. I haven't stripped it down yet. Is a good pullout from a CDN axle/powertrain swap.

Re: Rear Axle Housing

I think I've got one in Portland. I took it off a WC12 thinking to reinstall it later, but the gears were broken. Then I noticed that the drums and hubs didn't look like those for a WC12. I googled the hub numbers and got a listing showing they were for an M37. I think they may have installed them and blew up the gears when they didn't match those on the front axle.

Here are the dimensions:

56 5/16" between brake backing plates.
44 5/8" center-to-center at the spring supports.
Differential cover is 11 1/8" diameter.
Brake backing plates are for 14" x 2" shoes.
Hubs were Budd 45406 (14" drums).

If this is what you're looking for, you're welcome to it for free.

pretty sure you have a civvy PW rear housing. Does yours have the offset diff? offset is PW and M37 (m37 being narrower) and centered are WC. a friend just gave me measurement of 54" backing plate to packing plate on an M37. the WC/PW housings are wider by about 2.375"

if it has a 9 & 5/8 dif its early 43 to 45 WC 3/4 ton. one way to tell, if you dont have the diff in it, is the stud size. the 1/2 ton WC and the early 3/4 ton used the 8.75" diff and the mounting studs are 3/8" the 9 5/8" mounting studs are 7/16"
