My 1954 M37

Well I am only a tire change away from being finished (I am using the term “finished” loosely.) Got it stenciled and all the wood done. All in time for the car show Saturday!!

I didn’t take anymore pictures than these 2 because I was so busy talking with so many people. I had a great day at our first car show!! Met many veterans who had experience with the M37. The man pictured with me (Mike) served in Vietnam and used M37s to get to and from his helicopters on the flight line. He had good and not so good memories with the truck. But it was nice to hear so many stories of veterans using them. I was the only military vehicle in the show and it drew the attention of lots of kids that liked to climb in and play like they were driving. I didn’t win any award in a particular category however I was selected by a Corvette club member to receive an “In memory of” award. I was very proud of that as I was selected as his favorite among 216 participants.

Thanks Gary. I was asked by the local American Legion to make sure I attend their car show in October. I will definitely be there to represent!!
