Time to sell M37 B1

Post by Wayne64 »

Folks I'm 68 and the wife has heart issues, I can't see using the truck anymore and even though I regret it I must sell it. Asking 9,500 USD

1967 M37 B1 ¾ Ton Dodge with winch
Rust free and solid, on the road with current inspection. I spent about 5 years bringing a non-running rusty cab and bed back to what you see here. Changed out the cab tub to a rust free one, correct B1. The bed was re-done with an earlier solid bed. This I did to get the spare tire in the bed to make the truck more user friendly. Yet for a purist the change can be un-done by removing the carriage bolts that are in the cab body and bolt on the tire carrier. In keeping with not doing a full restore but to create a good usable vehicle I made other up-grades. Please understand what I did could all be restored easily to be more correct if that’s what you want. Electrical system all works, wipers are original vacuum units. The brakes have been done with new wheel cylinders and brake shoes. New Intake / Exhaust manifold. Carburetor rebuilt. New repo windshield glass.

Modifications I have made or came with the truck;
Stainless Steel exhaust flex pipe on the exhaust down pipe.
24 volt one wire alternator, major improvement.
24 volt fuel pump and filter mounted in back by tank.
Fiberglass top, interior is always dry!
24 volt heater, NOS from military Jeep.
Custom made S.S. bed storage access doors, with Stainless hinges.
Many non-stress bolts used are Stainless.
2” style pintal hitch.
Lock out hubs.
4:89 gears both front and rear.
Rear end is a locker, you get more traction than stock.
What is included with the sale of the truck, sorry will not sell separate;
Brand new (New Life) top canvas, never installed.
Complete frame work for the canvas top.
Complete spare tire door carrier.
Correct pioneer tools mounted on tail gate.
Troop seat brackets for the rear bed,
Left over paint (correct color) as I ordered extra,
New winch cover.

What needs finishing;
Wood needs to be cut and painted for the troop seats.
Winch needs a rebuild to fix the disengage fork, that NOS part with purchase. email wjgrind@aol.com

You've done a fine job, Wayne! You're facing the facts and making the tough decision that all of us will have to make at some point.

Please remain "home" with us even though you're selling your truck-your expertise is always welcome and we enjoy your friendship and your posts.

Need to bump and reduce price, I still haven't tried the ebay thing as I rather see someone here get it. If I had to use ebay they would get 10% so I'll drop the price to my bottom line. 9,500.00 USD.
No change in what you get. And if the truck is sold here I'll offer the rest of my spares up for sale here first. To be honest I've lost money on every build I have ever done, and i never counted labor as that was the hobby end, I would like to see this sold soon.
Thanks all, Wayne

FYI Cweb,
Wayne hasn't been online since last June.

Glad to see you've joined our ranks! Let us know about you-where you reside; got any HMVs? Plans once you get one?
Thanks!
