Let's see if this works:

A buddy of mine with a 1928 Chevy Truck is checking out the M37 at a local car show. I think he likes it :). Plus it's proof it actually is running and has been for about 600 miles since the kids and I put it back on the road in April. I've probably jinxed it now...

52M, isn't that Mt. St. Helens in the photos?

That is Mount Rainier in the photos, Gary. Those photos were all taken about 50 miles outside of Seattle, WA near a place called North Bend, WA. We were in the Cascade Range behind Mount Si.

I used to have a 66 acre parcel up there that we would drive up to on old logging roads. It was a nice easy day trip. My wife and I used to drive all over the old Weyerhauser logging roads 30 years ago, but the state has closed them / locked and blocked them all now so you can't do that any more. :(

If you want to get off road now you have to drive over the mountains to the eastern part of the state, which is not a day trip.

I wish there was somewhere around here to go off road and do some camping. I am pretty sure there's nothing close by M37 standards and if there is it's probably off limits... . I'm not sure how much trouble I'd get into going on the local fire roads at night.

We started classes today and I just received an email from a fellow teacher at our high school that you guys may appreciate. I guess she asks the students the most fun they have had in school and frequently gets some less than enthusiastic answers. Not this time! One of the guys who worked on the M37 last year chimed in and said:

The MOST fun I have EVER had was in advanced auto; that *$#@ was the BOMB!"

Made my day :). I guess some of these kids do "get it" after all!
