Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a set of the hold down brackets or loops that are welded to the top of the windshield frame? I have the bumpers on the hood and the spring loaded hooks on the hood. Mine like many others after their military service have has them removed to facilitate a home made cab at one time. The welds are still on the frame. If it isn't practical to find a replacement... does anyone have a drawing or tracing and material thickness so that I could use that info to make my own?
I thought Midwest had them but I called and spoke with John and the part he has is for the canvas cab straps.
Thanks for any help,
Mark

Re: Windshield Hold Down Brackets
I won't be taking my canvas top off of my truck for a few more weeks, but if you don't have the information you need by then, let me know and I will take pictures of the items you are interested in. I will put a scale in the photos so that you can get an idea of the measurements.
Good Luck and let me know.

Thanks, I will let you know if something else turns up. I guess I could cut one off of an otherwise trashed outer frame or make from scratch with a sketch.
Thanks again,

52 M-42,
I received a picture of what I had been looking for today... so I am good to go. It doesn't look like it can be in place and have the CCKW hard top to me though... will take some measuring with the info I received today to figure it out.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Windshield Hold Down Brackets
Mark,
I too had looked for those hold down brackets for my windshield. When I was out at the Power Wagon rally in Iowa a few years ago, we stopped in at Vintage Power Wagons. I asked them if they could cut the brackets off one of their M37 frames in the salvage yard. He said to just go pick a bent frame and bring it up to the garage. They zipped them off with an angle grinder for me. So, you may want to contact them. I would think they could fix you up as they had several bent windshield frames laying around.
