As far I know, they are all Acme T98 of identical design. Of the four I have on the floor and the ones in my trucks, all are the same. RMS or others who know these may chime in with some useful facts.

Nah, farthest thing from a Warner T-98 (A GM product) as you can get. ALL stock transmissions used in US produced G741 series trucks were by the New Process division of Chrysler. Canadian production trucks did not use the NP product.

The early and late US trans are interchangeable as a unit, but not the internals or top. The only synchros are in 3rd & 4th.

The CDN trucks have the Acme T98 trans built by ACME in Toronto, Ontario for Chrysler Canada and installed in the Windsor, Ontario built M37CDN trucks including the M43CDN, M152CDN and others. They likely used mostly parts sourced in the US except for the 251, Acme T98 and Acme pto to match. The T98 is known to share parts with International T98`s and probably others. With syncros in 2-4 and larger input shaft, its a superior design, as was the choice of the 251. For the intended climate, all M37CDN trucks had the factory top. You can search this forum for posts that discuss the different transmissions and ptos. I am not familiar with the GM T98 version but both Ford and Jeep used the same design. The case may differ and pto openings can be on the opposite side, both sides or non existent if the application used a trans case pto. Syncro rings and other parts can be obtained from a good old school transmission repair shop or knowledgable parts person. In the past there have been posts here regarding the availability and sources. One was in Surrey B.C. and posted by a local member from out here. There may be others.

I can post pictures of one of my spare ACME T98s if that would be helpful to the OP. The CDN Repair Manual has some misleading diagrams as they are not all of the T98 and sometimes can cause some confusion.
