Re: SIDE BOARD KIT AND COVER NEEDED!
You should go check out all the "usual suspects", Tim.
Snake River has most of the parts I believe at reasonable prices. John at Midwest Military also might have some or all of the metal parts you'll need. Vintage Power Wagon might be another place to try.
The swap meet thread here would probably be best and there is always the Steel Soldiers website too.
I don't have any extra metal parts for the bows and sides, or you could have them.
The wood you just make yourself with a table saw, router and sander (don't even really need the router, but it makes the edges nicer).
You should really try to use white oak like the originals, but it ain't cheap.
Good luck with your project, and don't forget the pictures!

Re: SIDE BOARD KIT AND COVER NEEDED!
Army Surplus Warehouse has lazyback steel post sets Tim. I bought a set from them years ago, removed the old wood pieces, blasted, painted and they looked like new.

I have a set of top bows for a trailer that will fit an M37 but lack provisions for the straps that allow the cargo cover to be rolled up and secured. PM me if interested and I'll shoot some pics and price to you.

Carter,
ArmySurplusWarehouse has some interesting things.....but they're shipping charges are outrageous. I intend to call them to ask why, but I put together what would be a small box of parts on their order form and it says it's $80 to ship it UPS Ground. Nothing heavy either. So I'd like to get some stuff from them.....but I feel I'm getting ripped of on the shipping.
regards,
bob

Midwest Military is making repro bow corners for the m37. They also carry the lazy back and seat parts.
I went with white oak planks for my Dodge. I bought rough planks and planed them to desired thickness. Ripped to width on a table saw and rounded edges over with a router bit.

Re: SIDE BOARD KIT AND COVER NEEDED!
I guess shipping rates have changed since I ordered a generator control box 3 years ago. It cost $50, weighed 5 # shipping was only $15. Calling them is a good idea Bob, that $80 must be a mistake, I would ask about sending them a UPS prepaid shipping label.w30bob wrote:Carter,

Re: SIDE BOARD KIT AND COVER NEEDED!
If you have concerns with Army Surplus Warehouse shipping. Call and talk to Jak, he is a real good guy to deal with, and he is the one that is the foreman for the catalog shipping.
Re: SIDE BOARD KIT AND COVER NEEDED!
Thanks Tom.....I'll make sure to talk to Jak when I call. Might be a week or two....I ended up spending my M37 allowance on some other parts online. But I'll get to Jak.
Thanks for the info,
bob
