New source for wiper blades?

Post by creinemann »

Is there a modern equivalent for a wiper blade that will fit the m37 vacuum wipers? My last set let go the other day, and all the NOS ones I have seen of late are getting brittle. just looking for something that will last a bit longer

Great question, I also need another set. And like you think it's because of the age of the NOS ones we get.

There are a couple of marine type that will fit up ok. If you are near the water, check your local marine supply or West Marine on line. The ones I used on my truck years ago were the AFI Classic wipers. Arms are also available. In later years, I went to electric motors with pantographic arms. I'd never go back for a daily driver.

Just go to your local NAPA, they are the same as older Jeep wipers. The blades are available in several different lengths, up to 12"; the originals are 10". Don't expect the younger counter guys to have a clue, so be prepared to argue; you may need too.

NOS blades have been junk for years, like any other components that contain rubber, cork, etc.
