Exhaust manifold woes and a ?

Started the tear down to replace the manifold. First off the NOS one I bought doesn't have the three plugs where the primer hooks up, not that I use them.
The engine has a rebuild tag so I don't who installed the manifold, but what I found was both the center bottom intake and the two long ones were not studs but bolts?? I have one major issue that has me upset, I got all 12 nuts/bolts off up to, of course the rear bottom exhaust nut which rounded off. Now I have to figure out how to remove either whats left of the nut or the stud.
Here is the question, what is everyone using when reinstalling the studs into the block?

Here is what I've used to remove rounded fastening nuts.
First is a Snap-On Nut cracker NC52 or a Blue Point TSFSY15A Turbo socket. Both are possibly available in other brands, but these were my brands of choice.


To install the studs just use double nuts and a good thread sealer and run them in.

I have used nut splitters for years, mine is a different design and wont work, but I forgot about the open style like yours which should work. I also have the other sears style remover socket you showed but the manifold is in the way.
