I'm off to Johns Hopkins Hospital

Post by Carter »

In the morning and if all goes as planned I'll most likely have a 3 day visit while the doctors try to put my back together from the mess it's now in caused by years of physical pounding (work) I have given it. Maybe they will be able to take away some of the severe pain  I have been in for months. I'll let you guys know sometime later what the outcome was.

Carter,

JH is the best. I had intestinal surgery there a few years back.....it's a top notch place. We're all pullin' for ya......I'm sure they'll get you fixed up in no time. Let us know how you're making out......and if you can't sit to type just give me a call and I'll post your message for you.

Speedy recovery,
bob

Well guys it's bad news for me but good news for someone else as the Doctor would not admit me and said go on pain management for 2-3 weeks then come back. He had an emergency operation that took my time slot and needed to save a fellow from loosing the use of his legs. His previously implanted metal rod slipped and I got bumped so the Doctor could help this guy.
I can't do much at all anymore, walking, sitting and laying down all are painful and I will be glad to have them get out the old Sunbeam Electric carving knife and get to work on my back.

Carter,

I am sorry to here about the delay.

Be strong my brother. I am rooting for you.

Can you get any relieve from using a heating pad or a cold towel. A cold towel is a wet towel that hangs out in the freezer for a while. My Father used these for his arthritis and it seemed to help.

Getting bumped really sucks!!!! It must be hard to finally get to your day and then get told to wait two more weeks. Keep us informed and good luck
