Tasmania Fires

Monkey Man are you OK down there? The fire reports look very grim. I'd send you some frozen mud from here if I could.

Thanks Rick.....
The fires are indeed bad although some distance from my home, I do have to go to Hobart tomorrow so I will find out more of what has happened, I was on the North West Coast today and the smoke haze was bad with the fire being within 60 miles. Don't know about the Frozen Mud though, a couple of feet of snow would be very helpful indeed although unlikely at the 30 to 40 degrees C heat...

How have the wheat and barley crops faired in your country ? I have not seen much on the market reports.

No real problems there Tom, moreso property loss, a lot of folks came home to nothing, houses, cars, all their stuff gone but as you know, it is one of the risks of living in a rural setting....
