inner hub seal snap ring

Post by refit1701 »

Hey Guys,

I took my M101 to the dump a few weeks before Christmas (Fall cleaning ordered by the War Department!) and after I unloaded the trailer, gave the tire a kick. It um....wobbled on the spindle 3/4 of an inch. Fast forward past a fun time getting the trailer back home and I found that both wheels were reassembled by a soldier with NO preload on the bearings. The inner seals are loose and the snap rings are missing.

So I have ordered new seals but I need to get new snap rings. Anyone have a idea what size I need? The parts manual does not give the size.

These snap rings are the same ones used on the M37, in case that helps anyone's memory.

I do not know the size however the part number is 915498. AB Linn & Midwest has these as will other vendors. I never subbed it out because NOS are readily available cheap. There is a set on eBay today also :)
