Well, maybe you all had this figured out eons ago, but I just stumbled onto this today. I am preparing to trailer my M37 to the Mid-Atlantic Power Wagon Rally near Morgantown West Virginia next weekend.
When I trailer the M, I have a cockpit cover that I made. I take the top off, and the frames. The cover slips over the windshield like an envelope, and then I lay the windshield down. The cover then extends back and covers the cockpit, and ties down to the canvas top rope hooks. Anyway, stowage of the top frames has always been a matter of laying them loosly in the bed of the truck. Not very satisfactory. Today I discovered you can fit them in front of the bed mounted spare tire, one facing right and one facing left. I put a ratchet strap around them to secure them but they really fit slick there. The cross bow can ride in the holes at the back of the cab that the frames drop into, but not when I have my transit cover in place.
Like I said, everyone else probably knew it but it was a real AHAH moment for me.
Tim
Interesting discovery today!

Re: Interesting discovery today!
I made it from a canvas tarp, a heavy duty sewing machine and some grommits!
I was at the Vintage Power Wagons Rally a few years ago, before I had an M37 and a guy pulled in with a nice M37 on a trailer. He got out and walked back to start unchaining it and he stopped, and his jaw just dropped. His canvas top was in tatters. When I got mine done, I decided I wouldnt trailer mine with the top up, so I made what I call my transit cover. I would post a picture of it but every time I try to post a picture i am told some deal about the board limit has been reached. Oh well.

Tim....how are you trying to post pics? I use Webshots and it's really simple. Worst case send me the pic, my email is w30bob@verizon.net, and I can put it up for you. Sounds like something we'd all like to see.
thanks,

YES PLEASE pictures. We all like pictures.
Re: Interesting discovery today!
Maybe you could email the pics to someone who is successful at posting pics on this site and they could post them. I sent pics to Bert on the SS website and he re-posted them here.
If nothing else works I will send you my email address (if you don't mind) and you could send me the pics (I can't re-post them to this site however).
...And yes, we are like little kids that want to see the pictures that go with the story.....
