MRF tires

Has anybody had any experience or purchased the MRF brand 9.00 x 16 NDT's? They are an import from India.
I am looking for for tires for the trailer. My search for decent used 9.00 x16's or 315-75-16's has proved futile and I need to get something reasonably priced soon. Thanks.

Can't say I've ever heard of them, the only choices I know of are STA and Firestone.

Can't say I've every ran accross them. Have you done a web search on them to see if any other boards like this have comments on them?

Involved in tire production since 1946 they seem to be the largest tire mfgr. in India and export world wide. I have never used their products but would not heastate to do so, better than buying Chinese I believe.

They seem to have invented a new name, NDMS? Could be NDT mud and snow?

I've never heard of them either. I checked out their website and don't see a listing for an NDT Military tires. How much do they cost??
Now that MuscleRok X is a pretty bad-ass looking tire. Just sayin'.

The MRF 9.00 x 16's NDMS (non-directional military spec is how they call it out) from a dealer in Oregon were $213.00 with a flat rate Fed Ex shipping of $25.00ea.
I considered Wallace Wade guys but the shipping is a killer to Ohio. I found a discussion board from England where the fellows are putting the MRF brand on Rovers and such and seem quite pleased.
I have one NOS Goodyear 235-85-R16 Military Wrangler which they put on some M101 series in the 1990's but the tread pattern is obsolete and I have been unable to find a match.
I'll let you all know how this pans out

David.....yeah, please let us know how those tires work out. I'm not real keen on putting tires made in India on my M, but I hear what you're saying about the cost to ship. It looks like Wallace Wade gets about $220 for a tire, but I don't know if they deliver to any of the meets other than Huntsville. If they were at say Aberdeen or Sussex I'd buy them there. I know Universal was at both meets this year, but I think they get $275 per tire....or something like that.

The STA's I got from WW shipped from PA, the western side IIRC. I had them shipped to CT to a commercial address (residential delivery is almost 2x) and it was about $25/tire for the set of 4. Being where the OP is, I can't see how shipping would be more.

David, have you tried Coker in TN? They sell NDCC tires. Also have you tried a local tire shop like Liepolds? They claim they can get any tire. If I'm thinking correctly the guy who owns the place told me he could get ND tires.

Thanks for the ship to reminder. I sometimes forget what I tell my own customers. When I spoke to WW the first time I used my home address because I was in the "Ship to must be the same as bill to" mindset. I got a new quote yesterday having them shipped to work after reading your post.
This, as you mentioned, cut the shipping in half and brought the WW price within a few dollars of the Indianese import I am going with the US made tires. Although I would be curious to see an MRF up close. Thanks for all the input guys. Most appreciated

STA has a great reputation, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Glad you could make it work. I always try to buy USA made whenever possible.
