Are There ORD 9 Revisions or Updates?

Post by w30bob »

Hi Guys,

This question stems from the "who is ACCO" post I put up. My ORD 9 is dated January 1954 and doesn't have ACCO listed as a company or abbreviation for a company. So I assume there were revisions to ORD 9 with later dates to incorporate the changes the M37 went thru.....like switching Douglas connectors to Packard connectiors....that would have changed all the wiring part numbers. So can anyone tell me what revision dates there are for ORD 9...or whatever document replaced it? I know the military also changed over to MS numbers, so there should be an ORD 9 type document that included that change as well. What ORD 9 do you guys with younger trucks look at for MS and part numbers???

thanks,
bob

Bob,

I haven't seen any updates, i.e. changes to the 1954 dated ORD 9, but there is a 1972 dated TM 9-2320-212-34P that replaced both the 1957 dated ORD 8 & the 1954 dated ORD 9 TMs. There are updated versions of ORD 7 (Organizational Maintenance) that were later replaced by TM 9-2320-212-20P. The ORD 7 copy I have is 1957 dated and the -20P TM is 1960 dated and there is a 1972 dated version. The biggest difference as they evolved is the pictures got scarce and the stock number (G741-737xxxx) was replaced by the FSN. The manufacturer codes/abbreviations went away by the 1960 (-20P TM) edition.
