My M101A2 that I just picked up a couple of weeks ago. Ugly paint but a solid trailer.

Sometimes that little bit of extra "ugly paint" keeps the ugly rust away!!

OK my green addiction has grown !! I bought this really cool 1942 Chevy G506 1 1/2 ton. It has a mildly hot rodded GMC 270 and a Clark 5 speed trans.

Sweet!! Nice truck!
I'm thinking about my next purchase being something that makes a "bang" sound.

Hey PWTim the tank is an overflow for the radiator . The original owner did that . I am going to move it under the hood soon.

Thanks for the compliment Tim. I really enjoy this truck. I wanted a vehicle from WW2 . I found the Chevy on John Bizal's sight of all places while looking for some parts for my M37.

That was my guess, but could also have been convinced it was a temp gas tank to move it around with!
Thanks,
Tim

I'm sure it's heavier than the M-37, is it any faster than the M-37? I like it, it has a good, real good look to it! 8)

I thought it might be that little "tank" the St. Bernard's used to carry around their neck? Yummy!

Well now you guys got me laughin' so hard !! I might have to leave it there, maybe put 3 little x's on it or something !
But it works great as a surge tank.
It is faster than my M The original owner replaced the Chevy 235 and 4 speed with the 270 GMC and 5speed OD trans. And it is rolling on 900-20 tires . It will cruise at 50. It wieghs 8500 lbs. Chevy made 160,000 of them in the war most went to Russia. But lots were used in the USA and also in Europe and the Pacific theaters just not in any great numbers. Lots of pics I found of them are on the Alcan/Canol hiway construction. The main reason I bought it was I wanted a truck from the WW2 period. I always like the look of the closed cab CCKW trucks and when I saw it's little brother on John Bizal's web site, I knew it was the one for me.
